Oregon Safety Coordinator 
Under the direction of the Goshen Safety Manager, the Oregon Safety Coordinator would assist and/or organize the implementation of safety related programs and systems on our Oregon campus. This position establishes and promotes the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions and reduce safety risks that impact our manufacturing operations.

Skill/Area Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and implementing cost-effective safety programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and Keystone RV policies relating to safety.

• Assist with required Environmental permits for the processes, equipment or discharges generated at the facility.

• Provide guidance and support to management on Safety issues. Work closely with all levels of employees to establish, maintain and improve safety programs.

• Develop a thorough knowledge of equipment and materials used in the facility.

• Promptly notify the Safety Manager and appropriate operations management of potential enforcement issues, accidents or device malfunctions.

• Aid in the timely preparation of required reports to regulatory agencies as requested.

• Assist in developing and implement procedures to reduce safety/environmental risks and to address emergency situations.

• Review materials used by manufacturing operations and assist in maintaining the MSDS database.

• Maintain the recordkeeping system so that the facility is capable of verifying compliance with all applicable regulations.

• Ensure responsible parties are immediately notified of safety concerns and action is immediately taken.

• Assist in overseeing vendors/contractors dealing with safety issues.

• Attend training sessions/meetings/seminars to maintain proficiency in safety areas.

• Provide safety related training programs to ensure employees knowledge and understanding of regulations and requirements.

• Assist with safety Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) selection and routine supplies.

• Assists with development and review of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment procedures

• Required to maintain First Aid/CPR certification and act as a first responder at the site.

• Drives/accompanies employees to local health providers as needed for medical/safety related appointments

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Safety Manager.

 

Requirements

• Formal training in occupational health and safety is preferred.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience with health and safety programs and associated regulations is required

• Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

• Current driver’s license.

• Ability to communicate efficiently both written and orally. Basic Microsoft Office experience required.
